What – 2009 YA Dystopian Reading Challenge
Who – Hosted by Bart
Where – Bart's Bookshelf
When – October 15, 2009 through December 31, 2009
How – Choose a target of 1-4 books that fit into the Young Adult Dystopian genre to read during the challenge.
*If you are looking for some book ideas, check out Bart’s list here for some recommendations. Taking a peek at other participants book pools is also a great way to discover relevant titles, authors.*
I’m not entirely sure of what I will read, so I’ve put together a pool of books that I will be choosing from. Well, actually that’s a lie – I am 100% positive that The Knife Of Never Letting Go will be one of the four books I read – seriously have you read some of the reviews on this one?!?
Anyways, here’s what I’ll be considering:
Wow! Looks like I have quite a few more YA Dystopians that I had thought – good thing about checking out my TBR pile before starting a challenge!© 2008-2010 Joanne Mosher of The Book Zombie. All rights reserved.

Good luck with the challenge. The Knife of Never Letting Go was really good, so I hope you enjoy it!
Great to have you aboard! The Knife of Never Letting Go is fantastic! (Make sure you've got The Ask and The Answer lined up to read next though!
*pushes Tomorrow When the War Began near the top and slips away*
This looks like a fun challenge, I think I may need to join! Thanks for alerting me to this, and best of luck to you!
The City of Ember is quick and fun, and Peeps is fantastic (and full of biology-nerd trivia, which makes me happy!) I also really, really need to get my hands on Knife of Never Letting Go, apparently. :)
Have you really never read Lord of the Flies?? Or is it a re-read?
It's an awesome book...one of the few we read in high school that has stuck with me (although the film probably had something to do with that, too).
Okay you're starting to make me want to join the challenge! Your pile looks so good. Happy reading and good luck on the challenge.
I didn't realize that you hadn't read The Knife of Never Letting Go!!!! Oooh, you're in for a treat! Seriously, I want to reread it already :p
There are a few here I want to read, two I have, and one I ordered from the library yesterday. Great challenge! I'm SO tempted to join...

Hi, I am just stopping in because I had seen that you replied to Amy's blog post about my Pretty Little Liars Challenge. I hope that you decide to join. There are awesome prizes. One person will win the whole Pretty Little Liars series and another will win the first 4 books in the series, signed by the author!! :)
If you have any questions please let me know, I hope that you decide to join!
You've got a great list of books lined up! I'm on book five of Marsden's Tomorrow series. It's fabulous. You may want to go ahead and get the others now. You'll want to dive right into them after reading the first one!
Nice picks! I never heard of Lifegame..
I have no idea why, but I hate dystopian books! I think maybe "Brave New World" ruined it for me. Best of luck to you :)
LOL, yup because of THOSE reviews I picked up KONLG as well and hope to read it soon--maybe the read-a-thon!
Enjoy the challenge!
Good luck with the challenge. and you've reminded me to go look at my stacks to see if I have any inhouse books I must read before the end of year to complete my current challenges.
