Tuesday Thingers - Shared Titles

tuesday thingers Today's question: Members who have your books. Do you ever look at this feature? Do you use it to make LT friends, or compare notes? There are three tabs- weighted, raw, and recent. "Weighted," which means "weighted by book obscurity and library size" is probably the least self-explanatory of the three, whereas "raw" and "recent" are more so. Do you get any kind of use out of this feature?

I have used this feature a few times to browse through similar libraries and find some other books I may want to check out. I usually only look at the weighted tab. It is an interesting feature, but I don't find myself returning to it very often. I much prefer the Connections and Recommendations features for searching out new reads.

I haven't used the connections and recommendations all that much. Maybe I should! :)

Like Kathleen I haven't used Connections and Recommendations much- I use this feature more. But it's always fun to try new things.

I love the Connections feature too.

I think the feature is fun for checking out other people's libraries. I always like browsing bookshelves (even my own!). But I've never used it for finding new titles to read - too many books in my TBR pile already!

I haven't used the connections feature at all. I like to look at the recommendations, but I take them with a grain of salt and look at the books they're based on before I add a book to my wishlist.

I'll have to check out Connections and Recommendations. I've browsed other people's libraries, but not really to get book ideas, more to "peek" at what else they've read. My TBR stack is a bit tall these days ...

Sorry to have missed this event. I haven't used this before...mainly because I haven't noticed it. Love these Tuesday events...I learn so much!
