I am coming up to the fourth hour of the Read-A-Thon and I’m feeling very good. This morning I listened to some of Blindness by Jose Saramago on my MP3, it is a fantastic story to listen to and the narrator has an amazing ability to create different tones for the many characters. Although the last chapter I listened to contains much talk about poop, seriously it is as though the author used a super thesaurus to find all the words possible to describe crap. Anyways after putting that aside I picked up Roald Dahl's Book Of Ghost Stories – very good collection!

Wow, you're doing very well! Keep going!
you're doing so well! From what I hear Uglies should certainly hold your attention! :-)
Good job Joanne!
Hi from PEI!
Uglies would be a perfect book for the Readathon. Have you got Pretties as well?
Have fun!
I used to love Roald Dahl's books when I was in middle school.
I'm very curious about Roald Dahl's Book Of Ghost Stories! I've heard it's a great anthology.
Ooh, I finished Uglies yesterday and Pretties about 10 minutes ago - I want to read Specials, but I think I might take a break and read another author for a bit. Sounds like you're doing great. Happy reading! :)
Wow Joanne, you're doing great! I'm curious to see what you think of Uglies.
I bet Blindness is great to listen to (minus the poop). Maybe that's how I'll get through it eventually because I haven't had much luck with the print version!
Love the Uglies series - what a great pick for a read-a-thon!
Finally, an issue that I am passionate about. I have looked for information of this caliber for the last several hours. Your site is greatly appreciated.
