“Name a favorite literary couple and tell me why they are a favorite. If you cannot choose just one, that is okay too. Name as many as you like–sometimes narrowing down a list can be extremely difficult and painful. Or maybe that’s just me.”
Lately I have been getting very excited about knowing that books I have enjoyed will be coming to the big screen. So for this week’s BTT topic I have chosen couples from two books I have loved and the related movies I cannot wait to go see.
The Doctor and The Doctor’s Wife
Blindness
by Jose Saramago
Mark Ruffalo and Julianne Moore
Claire Abshire and Henry DeTamble
Time Traveler's Wife
by Audrey Niffennegger
Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana

I loved Claire and Henry!
I love Henry and Clare, too. I haven't read Blindness, but I'd like to before I see the film.
Those movies both look great but I haven't read either book yet - ack! Great list!
I haven't read these either. I chose another couple.
Gosh, Blindness is one of my favorite 10 novels! Talk about going through thick and thin! Great choice!
I have Time Traveler'a Wife waiting fro me on the shelf and I hope to get to it before the end of the year...can't wait to meet Claire and Henry!
Yay! I had completely forgotten that The Time Traveler's Wife is coming to screen! And I didn't know they'd done the casting! Great choices, in my humble opinion. :D
I bawled all the way through the end of The Time Traveler's Wife. I don't know how I will make it through the movie, but I'm so excited to see they are making one. When is it coming out?
Never has a book made me cry harder than The Time Traveler's Wife... I hadn't seen any pictures from the movie - it looks fantastic!
Joanne, I want to see both movies but must read the books first :)

I COMPLETELY forgot about Claire and Henry!! I loooved the Time Traveller's Wife! I'm a little sad that they didn't choose actors a little less well-known, but I'm still excited to see it!!
I think that Time Travelers Wife (the movie) is expected in theaters Fall 2009.
Went to see Blindness last night - it is great - very true to the novel which I adore in movies based on books.
I havent read these, but i've heard good things about them.
Eric Bana! *sigh* lol I have to see that movie when it comes out.
