Teaser Tuesday – Tease & Tag

Teaser Tuesday

 Teaser Tuesdays asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us 2 sentences from that page.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

Teaser #1

Teaser #2

feather manImagine two peas in a pod. Side by side, their inner surfaces touch. They grow together, yet each has an independent stalk. On that inside edge they dent each other. Enjoying the constant touch of their green skins in mutual compatibility, they each experience the empty space on the other side. They plump out into this curving horizon as they grow larger and juicier. As they ripen the case dries and cracks until they fall out into the universe. That was how I imagined Redmond and I would be.

bookworm_awardFor my final teaser I’m combining it with the Bookworm Award that Sharonanne tagged me for! The instructions are pretty similar but instead of my teaser coming from a current read, it should be from the book that’s closest to me at the moment. And rather than a random page, I should find my teaser on Page 56.

Sitting on my desk is my latest pile of library books, so I will choose the book on the top for my teaser.

otherworldlies“Now what was that word that the crazy man used?”

”Titanomachy,” Fern said. “But I don’t know how to spell it.”

”Maybe he made it up, but we might as well check it out.” Sam opened a new window on the computer screen and began typing.

”Here it is,” he said, scanning. “Whoa. It’s a word for the eleven-year war between the Titans and the Olympians.”

”The Titans and the Olympians?”
