For my third instalment of geeky book to film quotes I’ve chosen my very favourite children’s book to be adapted for the big screen – Alice In Wonderland! And it will focus on one of the best parts from both the movie and book. Can you tell yet that my taste in movies and books is across the board genre wise? So far I’ve had quotes from a twisted/comedy-noir/slasher/social-satire and a socio-political/dystopian/sci-fi/thriller.
Book Title Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland Author Lewis Carroll | Movie Title Alice In Wonderland Producer Walt Disney |

| ‘But I don't want to go among mad people,’ Alice remarked. |
Alice didn't think that proved it at all: however she went on. |
‘Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin,’ thought Alice; ‘but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!’ |

Thank you for the link to somefield! Fantastic art.
This is my favorite book! I'm doing my review on it soon (it was my first read, but fourth re-read at the beginning of the year). What a wonderful post!
Fantastic quotes!! I love everything Alice :)
I adore Alice in Wonderland, both the book and the movie. (Whenever I'm running late, the White Rabbit's "No time to say 'Hello', goodbye! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" runs through my head.)
Cool artwork!
The Barnaby Ward illustrations are awesome! I don't know why everyone usually portrays Alice as a blonde- in the book didn't she have dark hair?
great quotes!

Alice is so wonderful--Carroll certainly put a lot of thought and wit into his books. Great post!
I can't remember if the book describes Alice as being dark haired (the real Alice was), but Tenniel portrays her as being blonde in the original illustrations.
Alice in Wonderland is the first book that introduced me to the wonders of reading. Truly an amazing book when you're a child and even a more incredible book when you're older!
Love the new artwork of Alice.
"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what it is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?”
My sentiments exactly! Wasn't Lewis Carroll a genius?
I loved the Barnaby Ward site. MUCH better than those disappointing illustrations Salvador Dali did for Dante's Divine Comedy.
