There’s a new challenge starting up in September and I know I probably shouldn’t, but I’m going to join in because it’s just too cool to miss!
The L.J. Smith Challenge is hosted by Amy of My Friend Amy. It’s a two part challenge that crosses over two types of media – books and television. Beginning September 1 participants can start reading Smith’s Vampire Diaries series, then on September 10 we can all begin watching the brand new television series adaptation of The Vampire Diaries. Depending on where you live and your cable/satellite provider you can tune in on either CW or CTV.

I have read the first 4 books recently in their omnibus edition. I can't wait to read The Return - I didn't know there was a book 2 coming out too! Well, I'm not going to complain that's for sure! :)

I'm all over the continuation! Since they're newer, I haven't read those yet, and I'm so excited to revisit these characters. I practically read the covers off of my original Vampire Diaries series when I was a pre-teen/teen and through the years into adulthood. Such good memories!
Now if only they'd make The Secret Circle books into a tv show - I loved that series! I'm a bit more into witches than vampires :)
