Tuesday Thingers – November 18

Tuesday Thingers

Popular this month on LT: Do you look at this list? Do you get ideas on what to read from it?
Have you read any of the books on the list right now? Feel free to link to any reviews you've done as well.

Wow, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever scrolled down that far on the LT homepage (lol) But this list is pretty cool. And after thinking to myself that it would be cool if this was at the top of the page – I discovered that I could customize the layout! (sometimes I can be completely oblivious to the obvious) Woohoo! Today has been a very educational Tuesday :)

  1. The Graveyard Book – Read and Reviewed Here (total fan-girl gushing)
  2. Dewey – Won this in a Hachette box’o’books from Dewey - How cool is that!
  3. Nation – On My Wishlist
  4. Brisingr – My son has this series, I may get around to reading it sometime.
  5. Anathem – Iffy on this, I found his other books either really great or just so-so.
  6. American Wife – Meh, not too interested.
  7. Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society – Just picked this up at the library!
  8. The Story of Edgar Sawtelle – On My Wishlist
  9. Eclipse – Read it, wasn’t bad, wasn’t stellar either. (hides from Meyer groupies)
  10. Any Given Doomsday – Just got my LT ER copy, hope to read it this weekend.

That is so cool that you won Dewey from Dewey! I hope you like Guernsey as much as I did.

We have similar takes on the lists and I am so glad I'm not the only one that needs to hide from the Meyer groupies, LOL.

Nation and The Graveyard Book are my books of the year so far. Also, I'm very curious about Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society.

(Sorry about the deleted comment! I forgot I was logged in with the Christmas Swap account.)

Wow, almost your whole list is new to me. I've only read The Graveyard Book (I loved it too!) and I've heard about Meyer's Eclipse, haven't read it though. This is the first I've heard of the rest of the books!

Ok, I can increase my books read on the list now from one to two...since I read Guernsey today. The whole thing today...which I think suggests I like it.

I loved The Graveyard Book too :) And Nation was fantastic as well! You'll enjoy it, I'm sure. I just picked up Edgar Sawtelle. I've heard mixed reviews on that one. And the Guersney LIterary and Potato peel Society looks really good! I like that little feature on LibraryTHing.

I've only read Eragon, and that was aaaages ago. I think I mostly liked it, except it was slow in places. I kinda want to read the rest of the series, but I'd have to reread Eragon and that's daunting at the moment, lol. :D

I wasn't crazy about Edgar Sawtelle, so I'd like to see what you think about it.

Oh, and I can't stand the Stephanie Meyer books. Blah! I guess I'm not enough of a girly-girl to enjoy them. Edward's glistening glowiness made me gag. Seriously.

Come and get me Meyer groupies! Nah-nah!

The only one I've read from this list was "Guernsey". I really liked it, but didn't review it. Maybe I'll write up a couple of those books I've enjoyed and not talked about...!
