Remembering Dewey

When a person passes through your life, they always leave a bit of themselves behind. A great comfort in this time of loss is the knowledge that Dewey will never be lost or forgotten. She was a boundless force, with enthusiasm and sass that spread to everyone she encountered. Dewey was an inspiration, not just in her love of books and community, but also the strength of her spirit and the goodness of her nature.

No words are adequate to express the impact Dewey had on so many people. Memories are said to be the library of the mind, I think Dewey would be happy to know she has a chapter in all our collections.

"Birth, life, and death -- each took place on the hidden side of a leaf."

Such a beautiful tribute to your friend. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Dewey, but it's obvious she touched many lives. Your words were absolutely beautiful. I'm sorry for your loss.
